Destan, translated as Epic, is a Turkish historical drama television series created by Mehmet Bozdağ, directed by Emir Khalilzadeh, written by Nehir Erdem and Ayşe Ferda Eryılmaz. The lead roles in the series are Ebru Şahin, Edip Tepeli and Selim Bayraktar.
The series was created as fictional, inspired by some epics rather than historical reality. The advisors of the series are Yeditepe University Head of History Department Prof. Dr. Ahmet Tağıl, Akdeniz University Department of Philosophy Head of the History and Philosophy of Science Department Assoc. Dr. Mehmet Fatih Doğrucan, Head of the Department of General Turkish History at Dokuz Eylül University, Prof. Dr. Erkan Göksu.
